I love looking at home decor and interior design trends for inspiration. I'm by no means a fashion-forward type of person, but I pick out the trends I enjoy the most and make it personal so it fits my taste and style. That's a main thing for me; don't buy anything "just because" it's trendy. It's important to actually LIKE what you purchase (and it has to fit in with the rest in the home).
Today I wanted to show you some interior/home decor trends that will probably come this year.
Sometimes, I think a lot of us crave some kind of comfort food, especially during the cold winter months. At least I know I do and with that in mind, I wanted to share a round up of comfort food recipes today.
In order to keep everything organized, one usually needs some type of organization and/or storage. Organizing-type furniture is a great way to fix part of the problem. Today I wanted to show you some great furniture to help you keep the clutter to the minimum.
It's Monday again and time for a new Menu Plan Monday, courtesy of I'm an Organizing Junkie. I can admit that I've been a bit forgetful in posting my menu plans lately and I will try to post them more often in the future. Sometimes life basically gets in the way I'm afraid.

I'm one of those that needs a clutter-free desk in order to function at my home office, with everything neatly organized. If you are in search of some home office organization ideas, I've got you covered as today I'm going to share with you some inspiration and ideas.
For me, a good filing system is really important. Not only can one find the needed papers quickly, whether it is insurance, bills and what-not, but it enables you to keep a system.
Well, one does need someplace to store the filing system and other random home office items so the office can be clutter-free, so a storage unit of some kind is essential.
Magazine holders are great for storage and having a system.
Just remember to have a routine in terms of tidying up your home office. There is no point in having fancy storage solutions if you don't tidy up-routine.
It's the second week of January and as a lot of us wants to have a clean slate in their homes (and lives), I wanted to share with you some ideas on how to organize your closet today.
I can admit that I could be a bit better when it comes to have my closet super-organized. Yes, I know, feel free to laugh considering that I have room for improvement and actually write a blog post on how to organize a closet. Look at it as a bit of inspiration (or kick in the rear and actually organize it a bit more). To my own defence, my closet isn't super messy, it just need some smaller adjustments. I'm only human, alright?
Now, just to start on the ideas on how to organize a closet.
While organizing the closet, it is important to actually remove the stuff you don't longer want/need. There is no point in keeping the clutter, so feel free to ask these questions in terms of all the clothes you've got. Those you don't longer want, you could donate, sell or throw away, depending on the condition.
Now, after purging, sort the stuff you're going to keep and divide them by category. Having for instance all sweaters, tank tops, skirts, jeans and whatnot seperate in their own piles/space make it so much easier to find whatever it is that you're searching for.
Here it is a bit more illustrated what I meant with keeping similar pieces together. You could also colour-coordinate a bit, placing all pieces in same/similar shade together.
If you want some further ideas, feel free to check out the post called How to Organize Your Wardrobe at Outside the Box Organisation Solutions.
As a lot of people think about resolutions and goals in January, I thought it would be fitting to give you readers a small list of goal setting worksheets to help you achieve your goals. Last year I wrote a post called How to Set More Manageable Goals in case you need a bit of inspiration.
I love to have an organized home, no doubt about it. Personally I find it easier to work and do everyday business easier if things are organized and I know where everything is. That being said, there is sometimes a difference between good organization and bad organization. Even though you've got all your paperwork in one gigantic pile, it might not be the best option.
As it is a new year and a lot of people want a clean slate, I decided I wanted to share with you some ideas in terms of organization. Today I'm goig to tackle the kitchen.
One great option for all your pots and pans could be having rollout base cabinets. As mentioned in the caption, it allows you to utilize more of the space, plus the items are easier to access. Basically it's a win-win situation.
Speaking of vertical storage, not only do you clear the countertop surface, but it does also give a lot more work space and it can sometimes be a bit of a decoration in itself.
For me, a key element in kitchen organization is to have enough containers. Another big bonus is if they happen to be stackable, so they take up a bit less space.
In order to make things a lot easier, you could consider to label stuff. Chalkboard labels are pretty neat, as you can write and re-write on them, depending on what you have in the containers.
So here you've got it, a few ways to make your kitchen more organized. A final note would be to don't have more stuff than what you need. This isn't limited to the kitchen though, but as a general note. Let's face it, there's no point in having fancy gadgets and so on if one never uses uses it.
Happy New Year to all my readers. Not only is it January 1st, but it's also Monday, which means it's time for a new Menu Plan Monday post, courtesy of Laura at I'm An Organizing Junkie. Even though there is this saying of "new year, new possibilities", I believe that every day is a new possibility. And with all the possibilities around, we can't go hungry, now can we?
